Residential Building on Debarca Street No. 58
Buildings/The residential building is part of a perimeter block, constructed as a freestanding structure with a backyard accessible from the street via paths on both sides of the building. The façade facing the street deviates from the street frontage, forming a front yard. The building extends over a basement, ground floor, first floor, and attic. The main entrance is from the street façade, while additional access to the basement from the backyard is provided by exterior stairs, along with exterior stairs leading to the terrace of the elevated ground floor.
The building’s geometry and orthogonality are disrupted by the treatment of the separation cornices, a rounded corner balcony placed asymmetrically, and the volume of the stairwell—a vertical semicircular dominant feature.
