Elementary School "Kocho Racin"

Buildings/
In the center of the city of Prilep is the former sole Lower Gymnasium, and today the central, modern eight-year municipal elementary school "Kocho Racin." The school is named after the prominent Macedonian poet Kocho Racin. The architect of this building is Dimitrie M. Leko, and it was constructed in 1924. The "Kocho Racin" Elementary School in Prilep is the oldest educational institution in the city. The school features a symmetrical design both horizontally and vertically, with an emphasized central section at the entrance, which protrudes compared to the wings where the classrooms are located. The entire building is notable for its very clean form, with repetition in the design of the openings, a pronounced cornice on the roof, and rustically finished corners with tertiary decorative elements.
