Sokol Home
Buildings/Sokol House, also known as Sokolana or Sokolski dom, is a historic building and former sports hall in Kumanovo. Construction began on June 26, 1923, based on a design by Serbian architect Momir Korunović.
Funding was provided through voluntary contributions from citizens and the craftsman community, with active participation from soldiers of the 22nd Infantry Regiment stationed in Kumanovo. The roof was installed in 1925, but construction halted several times. In 1926, the unfinished building suffered vandalism and equipment damage.
Russian architect Vladimir Antonov later reconstructed the roof, and the works were completed in 1928. The official opening took place on September 6, 1931, when the house was handed over to the Sokol Society. It served as the headquarters of the Kumanovo Sokol Society and later became the home court of 'KK Kumanovo.'
